New England Economic Development Services, Inc. or NEEDS is a wholly owned subsidiary corporation of The Economic Development Foundation of Rhode Island. Established in 1999, NEEDS’ mission is to provide high quality economic development consulting and advisory services to the governmental and not-for-profit sectors. NEEDS’ core strengths include the (1) formulation of strategies to develop, redevelop and/or rehabilitate real estate, (2) designing economic development incentives, and (3) formulation of strategies to enhance the organizational capacity of local communities to plan for, implement and manage economic development.
